This is the financial exchange with the very Armstrong and chunks of you're exclusive look at business and financial news affecting your day your city your world. Stay informed and up today about an economic and market trends plus get breaking business news every day. And now the financial exchange with the Gerry Armstrong and chuck Exxon. Spreading here on the financial exchange and we are. Potentially in line for three straight days in positive territory here after two two nice moves up in the market potentially. Maybe finishing the week off with the third straight positive day tucked out of Mike Armstrong we got Tucker Silva here as well and no major data out today it's it's relatively quiet from eight data perspective yet. This one a whole bunch coming out next week we've got you know all kinds of stuff that we're gonna be digging into then. But there are still you know what to business stories that are moving the needle. We do have the Dow up about a hundred points at the moment the S&P is up about seven. So we got we got a little bit of movement happening now and let's talk Michael little bit about. What has changed in the last week because for much of April you take a look at the market that the charts for April. Mark was stuck in neutral pretty much was completely flat for the month didn't really move around the you know it was it was up and down before I start to finish. Not a whole lot of movement in here at at the start of may. Really in the last week in a half somewhere in that ballpark you've got this market it's rallied in about four and a half percent for. No one's really sure why. Yeah I mean you can point to a. Few things here and there are I think oil prices are certainly helping things out a little bits. You've seen it. Obviously we're pretty much room for scorer earnings in the first quarter earnings were very solid but that clearly wasn't quarter moving yeah but it was really moving the market back in April so it doesn't really speak to that. In the inflation doesn't look as bad as some people were somewhat concerned about. You know we had the ad the jobs report the GDP report's inflation reports and they came mountain as you know. People are I don't think are quite as nervous about ongoing inflation and on going interest rates rises as they might have been in the month of April. Let's talk a little bit about energy specifically because we've seen this week on the heels of the US pulling out of the Iran deal. Price of oil has hit the highest level. Ian almost four years now we're at 7118. For west Texas intermediate. Breakthrough right now is at 7726. We haven't seen those levels since September of 2014 so it's. It's been almost four years since we've seen this. It's a far cry from the lows that we I mean think about where we were back in what was February of sixteen miners down to below thirty bucks a barrel yet we were and I think get I believe we touched Britain high 26. Is somewhere in that ballpark. Is where we in a touch maybe twenty eater so bit. You know you look at it and so the price of oil is you know not quite tripled but it's up about two and a half times since that time. And where you stand right now is that's obviously good for energy companies been. But it does have some negative impacts on other types of companies you take a look at airline stocks over the last week they've gotten it because they're gonna have higher input cost you take a look at trucking companies they're gonna have higher cost saving logistically you know oriented. Has higher costs associated with it. In those costs eventually. Make their way into. Companies buy a Dell who says okay we've got to sell more computers well for transporting them or transport Costco we got to pass this cost true. One of the concerns that I know people have about their neck and the inflation data yesterday it was it was quiet it was. It was not what people expected to see and I think that part of the reason why had a little bit of a rally yesterday. But as these costs start to make their way through what happens is yes some companies can pass these on. But a lot of companies can't you know if you're selling something that people want but they don't need. It's tough for you to pass these costs on. So what you see it in this kind of gets into a late stage. You know growth cycle type thing where you say look. Our cost start going up. We can't pass those additional cost on to people it's we know we have a quarter of record profits here I think the concern that still out there it to a certain extent. Hate to some of these other costs start to eat into those profits down the road later this year early next year. Yeah I think if you're a company year and you might be concerned about oil prices and certainly if you're an airliner here a lot of these companies that are really reliant on the price of fuel your growing a little bit more concerned. But it tyra company right now I would be far more concerned about the ongoing price and shortage of labor that I would be seeing right now than I would be about the price of fuel. Well in we've talked about this before there's there's four major input cost that companies have went when you're talking about the the biggest line items on their budget that the very little bit from industry to industry. But in general those four costs at they house. Labor. Energy. Health care and borrowing go to the four ways the company's growing the hire more people. Use more energy to do more things. You've got to pay for health care costs associated with people and then if you wanna expand to borrow. Borrowing costs are going up we know interest rates are rising. Healthcare costs any doubt those are going up doesn't know doesn't seem like labor costs. This one's interest okay because labor costs should be going up. But the data says they're not right and we we don't quite know why I like anyone who says only we we know what. What has a clue. No no one knows you know me you've got unemployment at three point 9%. You have the last two months not enough people being hired because there are enough people to hire. In wage growth is still. Below 3% a year. It's the there's something funky going out here it's him yeah. It's you don't know why that's happening but there's something that's going on there that obviously you have energy prices going up so all four of the major imports for different companies. Are rising right now and that's that's I think something that concern the market a little bit here. When you look at what's happened this week with Tamer inflation data. It says okay. Maybe we can put the soft little bit propped you gonna stay higher longer and that's I think been behind some of the the valuation growth that we've seen this week even though. Think that there there hasn't been that much else going on. Now there really hasn't has been pretty light in the new lot of geo political news obviously are done I ran we've got North Korea a lot of different stuff going on geo politically but. In terms of pure market and economic data you're right it has been my and quite frankly maybe that's what the market just needed was a few weeks off of all this different data points coming out. And yeah it going back to the price of oil. I don't have any real great data to back this up but my gut feeling is that oil prices somewhere in that fifty to eighty bear dollars a barrel. Seems to be a pretty good spot for the US economy overall. When you get way lower than that back in the thirties you really had BB businesses concerned you know big. Oil drillers and we'll see how he's going out of business what happened in Texas in the debt owed isn't pencil in you had major problems there was people being out of work right. Verse says you know when your back up about a hundred dollars a barrel you had just all this waste going on these fat profits and companies being inefficient and gas prices through the roof and that was increase the economy but it seems to be that somewhere in this fifty to eighty range we can afford the near the prices at the pump. Prices don't seem to be skyrocketing. Based on neo inflated production and transportation costs. And the US drillers can still make a profit. Watch what goes on in the Middle East very closely over the next couple months that the what's going on right now between Iran and Israel. It is probably the steepest direct escalation of any conflict that we've seen their in the last three to four years. Watch that very closely because if you do see things start to scale up on that side of things. All of a sudden you could see oil prices make any big move up ticket and it has the potential to be something that really throws a wrench. In a whole bunch of different areas economically in addition to you know obviously the potential military disruption. That you see over there so watch that closely over the next couple months because. It's it's it's not looking good Oprah. And I still keep going back to the perverse incentive that the saudis have to keep oil prices higher. Keep looking at them and seeing what sort of big issues there and throw out there trying to at a press pop up. Well in and keep in mind you of a whole bunch of other countries that don't necessarily like it's a whole lot right now to have those seem incentives you've got Russia with Vladimir Putin coming out this morning. Saying we want to move away from the dollar because it doesn't suit our interest in any way. And we know Russia is a major producer of oil we know that rush is a heavily sanctioned country. And Sunnis there any say. Gee this this potentially be they've gotten incentive to raise the price too because it's more painful for us they're they're selling the stuff that he. It's it's not good for the United States if prices go up too high. Too quickly for oil so it's all stuff to watch here. And we're here to talk about a brand new product available for landlords it's called Z deposit dot net Jake. What. Barry we created a security deposit product. To really help the problem a lot of clean border facing with security deposits which is. You know one it's time consuming to open the small internal security upon cumbersome it's. And yet to go into the bridge yes signed paperwork and their small dollars and Andy turn. It is certainly the complaints in Massachusetts really tough for landlords and security deposit accounts. You have to give them ten in certain forms when they open up the count and you have to pay interest and you. And we should do all this canal through Z deposit all of that you can do Thursday deposit it literally takes about forty seconds to open up an account. We handled the automatic forms that are generated in the count number department condition statement all that said lieutenant. And the interest descent to the tenant. Automatically every year. This sounds like something it's going to be very valuable to large landlords it might have 200 tenants and small landlords that might only have five tenths yeah absolutely with a large landlords. It's just a lot of hassle to managed so we make dad very efficient for the small landlords a lot of them are afraid of nineteen complaints done correctly so some of them. Some of them don't even like taking security deposits were hopeful that this will help them do that. Folks if he'd like to learn more about C deposit go to their website Z deposit dot net. Or you can call and speak to somebody on the Z deposit team it's 7816418691. Or online at Z deposit dot net it helps. Talk a little bit about what's going on down in Maryland right now on this is one of the biggest areas of crap production. In the United States obviously you know there's two things that Maryland does crab cakes and football. And the president as Winston. To check. As the extra note that the big ones that the republics that come from the the Maryland region as the last in the Q are. Or Andreas is the sequence from over there correct what's your favorite on. Yeah I'll have figured if pavlik yeah legit crap. I only have you've never had crap I don't think so now one Natalie cracked open like a lobster rides off shelves. Only to have. I like the dungy this one's from around the San Francisco Bay Area. I was like those the big guys they're like an outsize like bowling balls and I couldn't all that phenomenal. Anyways in Maryland that the problem that they're having Mike is that a lot of the workers who have historically. Worked in the crab industry down there. Our. Temporary visa based workers season and it's in there haven't been enough beat. Has to go around there now and so the time at the H two B visa which is based seasonal worker visas. And this year they gave us 66000 of them. More than 81000 requested. They just in the lottery and I I hate the lottery system of this what what what don't you like about the lottery. I. Think we should be making an economic decision here. Give it to the highest better. So you're saying whoever is going to paid each to be V workers the most Jimmie should be should get priority yeah I agree with that. Collecting your collecting more employment taxes on the builds a market actually is saying look we're gonna create a market for these pieces whoever wants to actually pay the most. Eight years you're paying you the closest to fair market rates and you can find in beats a who has the biggest need because if you have the biggest need you gonna wanna pay more because otherwise I mean do what you have now hazard you have this lottery system so. A lot of the people that are coming in here at the pain and seven you know whatever minimum wages. If their their pain they're supposed to pay whatever the prevailing. Rate is four in the US worker during the same job but the fact of the matter is they can't find the US workers pay the same job given what they're paying so they're paying below market rate how much this week talked I think was. Last week about the decline in use in point in the fact that a lot of teens aren't working. Over the suburbs anymore either in high schooler and college that does that just not doing that they're going and instead there are doing additional training here yes. That that but they're not in the workforce. A lot of this could also be offset if we said hey instead of going to you know computer boot camper instead of spending year. You know summer sitting on the Xbox doing nothing. Get over there you go get a job. I guess I mean yes that would solve a lot of this as well I'd much prefer to see that and how are you going to instant crisis parents say hey instead of you'll have enough here in college Reza may have to go get a job that the crab shocking place I'd I'd don't know it's a shock crabs now that's always seen. Then if you you don't shut crabs so I know that you've never worked in one of these places. That's good news is that the US is likely to add about 151000. Work visas. This summer so they're making 151000 additional each to be viewed it feels it is good news what do you mean. You say you were may we have good news here that there are creating 151000 new of these newbies as I suppose it's good news for. That company down in Maryland that doesn't have any workers to go do this work but. I'd I'm not in love with these visa this visa through outcome. The idea that you know what the drug administration came in here and says they want to see these jobs going to US workers and by me you know all workers want these jobs is they're not paying enough. Yeah. So I've but honestly rather see the inflated price of crabs in in the. In the markets like cheap crowds. Up to do I'm I'm I'm just saying I I'd rather have my crab be more affordable yet. It's I don't know if this is even a wage issue necessarily them like country like you look at a lot of these jobs and there are a lot of people in the United States who've gotten a little stuck up about the jobs that they are willing to take okay. How many people do you know that go out and say look I'm going to go. And get a job picking off cops how many people do you know who say look I'm happy to go in get a job. Mowing the lawn on the side of the highway they're like. We've gotten a little bit stuck up about saying no way that job's not good enough for me. Especially the teenagers of the world health. We have out there hopefully fort night all the stuff Barack I I just would rather see a difference I mean here's what you have with these visas visas. You have been being employed for a below market rate. They take in a how far below market we have any data on that don't have any great data was looking at it or they're trying to find out exactly what they're paid it looked like you should expect between seven and fourteen dollars and are few and H two B visa worker. So in this day and age in the northeast that's probably why I'm assuming it's still probably on the higher end in the northeast. But so you're probably late by somewhere between ten and 20%. Yeah problem in that ballpark but it and here's the bigger issue too in you employ an American worker and even if yet payment a little bit more at least you know that money's gonna be spent here. Where's they'll actually have some repeat Andres. This is from UPI dot org this is Economic Policy Institute. And what they say is that on average and again it's this is based on. Did the typical jobs that most people in each to be visa program go into. Typically you're looking at savings between two dollars and two dollars and 59 cents and 337 an hour by hiring an H two B workers instead. Of some of a worker that earns the national wage for the occupation that's significant number. I just I. If I think there are a lot of jobs that Americans refuse to take and I I. I don't know how else to put it like I think that we've got a little Selby in in a certain sense where we say. Oh that's too good for me and that's I'm too good for that job I won't do that. Yeah and the fact is you need people to take the jobs that no one else wants to do and I guess to a certain extent yes an additional wages can help there but. I don't know if wages are necessarily the problem in these cases is worse worst showing here that look. They're they're willing to pay people more if if if they can but they still can't find people at those higher wages. Yeah hey you know RA it's not a it's not a pastor experiment you really wanna poll by you do wonder what happens you get rid of this H two B visa program entirely for summer what exactly happened a whole bunch restaurants. That are out of business I mean yeah you might. You might you know you give a whole bunch of places they go out of business is they can't find labor in I think at the Betsy BBP's. There. Let's circle back quickly to our poll question of the day where are you seeing the most inflation. And this is available right now financial exchange showed dot com don't go there you're driving but if you're anywhere else other than the front seat of the car. Take a look over there Tucker what do we seen in terms of results to this a question of the day is. We're seeing the most inflation and we have four choices here. The leader in the clubhouse as housing at 44% fall by energy at 33. And healthcare. To eleven. And I guess I ought to me health care and other art tied. 11% anti I mean that I'm in the minority here health care is the single biggest rise expense of currency you think that's the biggest one for for me personally. Insurance premiums have gone up. And yet the I mean maybe it's just I've got one year old twins as well that. Emergence of the exhibits and things like Batman gives a really adjustable Jesse Perry tells just the health insurance alone is the premium costs are just through every year over year. The knots a little knots. Syria had over invoked in our poll question of the day at financial exchange showed dot com it's gonna be open all day so even if he can't vote right now because you are driving. When every get to work or wherever it is that you are going. It's over there and vote and we'll keep updated on the results as we go. Time now for Wall Street watch a look at the market's performance so far today thanks to Berrian jug right here on the financial exchange radio network. Stop Wall Street watch Michael start first with semantics the big antivirus company in security company for computers. All of them stock is down 34%. Off morning ten dollars a share. They reported earnings but the long story sure was that they said there are delaying their annual reports depending on the outcome an internal investigation of unspecified. Financial issues. Quote unquote it's always good doesn't matter what you earned in the previous quarters you have unspecified financial issues the stock market is now when. Stocks down like I said over. 34% rate. Turning now to Yelp the big job online reviews say it looks like you'll need some help. Yup does need some help so last week or so in anticipation of earnings the stock climbed up pretty substantially from about 45 dollars a share up to where they were her. Yesterday which is about 48 dollars share came out with earnings the earnings themselves weren't that bad they lost three cents a share. But that is. Less than they are anticipated to lose their revenue was up a little bit. Nonetheless it looks like the street was expecting a little bit better quarter stock is down three dollars six cents about 7%. Good let's turn our sights to Goldman Sachs. An apple two of the probably biggest brand names in the really the world when he talked about like high quality. Luxury based brand names you don't really get any higher adding Goldman Sachs and apple they're teaming up now with they a new critical. Yes it looks like they're teaming up debates to the apple is looking to diversify their revenues a little bit away from the iPhone. Goldman is looking to replace what had been very profitable trading segment of their business for years and years and really just has not generate much revenue at all since the financial crisis. And it seems this is their way of going about it tag Goldman in addition to having the credit card is talking about potentially offering loans in store. Apple customers obviously being the financing arm for apple for the in store apple purchased as well. Do you think the big Goldman Sachs name is perceived by a main streeters as budget by people in general lake. Do you think people want to do business with Goldman Sachs. No. Hey you know in terms of the companies that got a pretty bad name mapped to the 08 or nine financial crisis that's a Goldman was right up there. And in I think a big part of that is Goldman for its entire life up until this point. Has pretty much been inaccessible. To the average human being in what I mean by that. Until only about fifteen years ago they were even a publicly traded company there are still this mystique about them because you know when you were made partnered Goldman Sachs you may partner and a privately held company knew it was something that you meant something there wasn't just that you were another stockholder it was. While it you your partner Goldman Sachs you really know what's going on. During the financial crisis the lead up to you know that. They still were the premier investment bank they only dealt with the wealthiest of the wealthy that. They only took on the biggest and best deals they could find they've always had that cash day. And I think it helps them when their marketing to wealthy clients because it's give the classic all I wanna be in that club yeah. When they start to go down market. The only thoughts that most that the average person as the person who sit there and Iowa Macon 40000 dollars a year making in tractors. The only thing that person thinks about them. Is man that Goldman Sachs they caused the financial crisis. Yeah hey I think they have a bit of that rant known for Goldman Sachs went to jail for all the stuff they yeah. And in unlike Bank of America are unlike JPMorgan Chase which have existing retail businesses. Those businesses were able to say look you still work this nothing's changed you still you know. Our relationship is the same yet you're upset about the overdraft fees that were charging you but pave what are you gonna do. Those businesses have had ways to kind of keep people involved for the last 1015 years. Goldman no one's really had that relationship with them it's been so exclusive that a lot of people haven't been able to actually get up close and see them in touch them and say. While these guys that they're not actually bad people. Yeah but you know what if you. Or an apple customer. And they've got to credit card available TN. Are you know read the fine print that says it's not the Goldman Sachs is going to be in your face they're going to be the background finance your of this stuff I don't know that this is gonna hurt them. You know if you're in the Apple Store and they say hey we have this new financing option where you can by the slapped this 2000 dollar laptop and finance it for. You know a low interest loan from our our banking partners and it just happens to be Goldman do you care. So I don't know for hurt some. But here's the question is is this the best partnership that apple could have because. Let's say that apple went out and said look we're gonna use PayPal is kind of the financial backing for our credit card or we're gonna use. V of the vin mot brand of PayPal. All all the apple users are you know those brands they say oh great pay values all the times in my in my friends he's been mow all the time send money to my friends he had to me were I apple. I would just be saying where might get the best deal because my customers are gonna go with whoever excellent. That's fair bit and maybe Goldman extra video. Couples probably not looking to pick up many customers at this point it's more how to lead you maximize value from the ones I have to security have ever won the whole war and yet they're not saying hey if I go partner with PayPal and and though. When Ed. Grab all these new customers it's very. Which bank is going to be gave our clients the best financing deals that's all I care about sticking with technology drop box who I. When was last month I think there's a reason it was march march 23 is when Dropbox IPO it's about a month and a half ago. They reported their first quarter earnings as a publicly traded company. And so they actually saw earnings would be better than expected. Net revenue little bit better than expected the stocks still down three and a half person. Yeah well I mean I can see why you know if you're looking at Dropbox stock right now you're trying to figure out what is differentiating them from their competition and you tell me I mean a guy I can't think of what is different Sheen drop box from. Box Amazon web service even their name Google ever why am I gonna go use Dropbox right now instead if I have. Apple if Ivan iPhone why when I just use Apple's data storage system if I have. Might android phone why were knighted she's Google's what what's the differentiated drop by exactly. In on the enterprise side one amazing drop box instead of IBM instead of oracle instead of Amazon Web Services it's. It what's the what's the killer app that the one thing that they have that no one else can do. It's it's a tough question and this earnings report doesn't answered it doesn't it doesn't show accompanied its struggling now but it doesn't show a company that's going to accelerate beyond the pace at their currently going you. And I think that's. That's that's why you're seeing this is you know when you price IPOs they're priced with a fair bit of speculation in there to begin with. That you you didn't really out do that speculation okay you're gonna get you know sent down a couple percentage points here. Folks if you are landlord or a property manager. Like Todd what's key from the law firm of crushing and dole and we're talking about something that sounds pretty basic but how should you hold your real state. Todd if you're real state is in a nominee realty trust. Is that going to be protected from the nursing home and also will it avoid probate when you die out most miss understood. Trust I think in the trust world it's not even a trust it and non in the relationship nominee realizes trust I know but it's not. What I mean by that is. When you put your property into a nominee realty trust folks please go look at who the schedule beneficiaries are that you listed to separate piece of paper attached it fits that children and you gave way to the children you don't even know anymore you'd realize you gave it away because it takes effect immediately not your death which is the difference. Many people think that that doesn't take effect till your death. More importantly if it's. If it was like my wife and I and the schedule beneficiaries as my wife and yeah well that we didn't wondering what's right back in my name and my wife's name so to your light and point it would even aboard so why is it being done so. Because lots of times people like Ottawa and maybe real estate attorney and anything can help the trust and throat in a realty trust. We used realty trust it's just important. That the schedule of beneficiaries. Is another state planning trust revolt cobol or reap or your remarkable correct or not a person not your kids not yourself. Please look that up if you got one of these. Going to be pain about a 120 million dollars in fines because it's sort of war should have been more god. Note a talker you go head doll I mean. Which you used robo calling. A hundred million times in a span of how long three months. That's definitely harassment let's let's do a little bit of math. OK just just show you how ridiculous this is who we've got a hundred million robo calls one guy let's assume the best case scenario that this happens may June July to get two months with 31 days and one was thirty so we get 92 days when this is happening. That is 1086956. Calls per day which means that you can't do in 24 hours. Because you're not gonna robo call people to Miami doesn't make any sense like that there's no point Nestor so realistically you've got caller probably from 6 AM. Is them again is gonna say look at no problem waiting to war. 6 AM. To call it 11 PM so you've got somewhere in the ballpark seventeen hours here so when you do that. It's 64000. Calls an hour it's a thousand calls a minute it out. This guy's dad dad are slowly crept up and I don't know I really don't mean to. Fanned. Is those one of these stories from 40 yeah video once that once a week you've got a great usually does Medicare scams is you have more more elderly people down there but. It's like. You look at this and I was making 64000. Phone calls an hour and not him like you can't dial quickly yourself office. Rubble and the first question on this actually is how do you do business. I had to make that many phone calls that quickly yeah. Let's servers I can't imagine there'd be active don't have on an island senate because I don't know anything about the technology but presumably it's got music phone a laptop and server and that's pretty much a yeah I mean if you and a modem and imagine there's no more power involved in mining for crypto clearance you know I still don't understand we have this hold do not call list for phone calls are relevant how to. How will alone. And let's say that it's I think it stops some things okay. Cops and how do we not have a do not spam list for email. I don't know like I don't know not this new thing anymore it's been around for 25 years all right. Everyone has email that the people who say they don't have email actually do. Now receive email spammers saying from these you know the Bed, Bath & Beyond of the world or you just any random people anyone aka I am so age is. Let's think about if you had that the you have a way to go and actually licked prosecute the person you spamming through like you know fishing and stuff like that and all of the illegal stuff. So if they were and hasn't been and misled in the scam but yet effectively what he's doing was this was media creates. Phone call from a phone number fake phone number that is the first six digits. Your own phone numbers on 50847900. By the way I get all of the I get out on to beat by my dad's been to those recently it's his own numbers calling him. I get a ton of these from the first six digits of my number now that are called me in like the first time I saw it I was like oh like this someone from my town who's probably just like. Yeah calling people look at it like. As I used to do that when I was a kid at Buick a legacy to be fun let's go all the same did strange the last two number like. OK I get that and then all of a sudden when they kept coming up and they were different numbers I was like no there's there's something. So that's not there yet people to pick up as outs a familiar number of epic about. And then they would. Basically go on the line as a pre recordings say they were run I can't I went for help all the time hey we're from Helton and you've won a free. You'd hit a button on your phones or that's gonna want something and and you would get on the phone with a telemarketer trying to sell you chair next hour. Yeah that's basically how ward. I say he was there are not affiliated with any of these companies that they claim to be they were using fake phone numbers trying to be able to pick up the phone. And then they're trying to sell you something that was completely unrelated to the big name product that you had did that looped in so. The biggest thing with these rubble. My default is always know. I sent no. I only wish this guy could go to jets on hundreds when he milk. I only wish there weren't just civil penalties for this sort of thing. See here's my question and this gets into all the stuff would all these personal assistance that we have our houses now there'll voice activated. The Roth conversions a little bit of a mystery for some folks are Mike what are we talking about when we talk about. Roth IRA conversion yes so unlike the traditional 401K or IRA where you receive a tax deduction for putting money into an IRA. The Roth IRA you put regular dollars in you don't receive induction but any of the growth is completely tax free number of advantages there there's no required and distribution and can be uses they're really good source of tax free income later in retirement. When you convert in higher to Iraq diary which are doing is you're taking money out of that traditional account. Putting it into the rock paying the taxes upfront. In order should never pay the taxes on the growth down. So this is a case where you actually voluntarily decide to pay the tax usually with the idea that you're going to be in a lower tax rate rather rather a higher tax rate later on. And so this gives the ability to not pay taxes higher rate later. Absolutely correct so oftentimes people do it in a year which there and lower tax bracket intentionally. But I'd be very careful about when you do it. Folks Roth conversions they can be a little bit Dicey just trying to navigate the different tax brackets and so forth. And so are strong advisory group has put together. A great free guide to give you all the info you need on the Roth higher rate conversions. It's available right now at our strong advisory dot com. You know if you got your health you got everything right. I thank. What they say. Let's talk about who else is probably gonna have all the money this year and that is the big movie studios because there's a whole bunch of movies coming out the basement ton of money on that everyone's excited about. Except for me is I look at this list of movies and I counted. Out of the biggest movies that are anticipated summer. There's one that I want to see. I dream and vocalist so blah what did you throw out here what we have starting on May eighteenth McCain loses this is post avengers that's obviously that is enough. That's making more money than anything else in the history of anything just about her. May eighteenth dead bolt who comes out. See a lot of trailers out and interest in seeing that personal is really funny. There's guys Nokia cut interest in seeing that a week later you have the Star Wars spin solo solo which was the origin story of Han Solo and differ not starring Harrison Ford. I just think it can be awful. I think it's going to be awful but it's gonna make a ton of money gonna make a ton of money but it's going to be to formulate Disney Star Wars movie. Oh here's how the heroes starts out something bad happens and they have to go away for a lot it and QE. It Europe yet earning much yet that's what it's going to be his most famous person boarding Harrelson. I think that's a. The food. Is probably I do like woody now. They do it would do you read this stuff up from last week about Don Nelson's oak beams that he plays Woody Harrelson Daria yeah. That was ugly must be Phnom they'll just hang out on Hawaii playing now yeah this week. So you get solo coming in it's gonna make a boatload of money I have no interest in no interest in seeing ocean's gate opens up on June 8 I didn't even know there was an O Sharia coming up. The trailer came out judge in the NBA playoffs and and it's an all female cast so they're getting slower going up. Was it like 1112 and thirteen I don't understand this either because it looks like Sandra Bullock's the lead and I don't know order last name is because Danny Ocean. That was his last name did she ever married Danny Ocean now I don't think the CI I don't know what the stories but it's called ocean's eight. So I don't. With the help most is the pre equals the sequel I don't know nobody knows Incredibles two. Coming out after that. I'm excited I write incredible. I was waiting. I thought it had an incredible India on this list is applied and I'm excited about. That's Disney Pixar at the not a big a movie from Disney. And then you've got Jurassic world following kingdom which looks like all I'm the worst piece of crap I've ever seen it's just like. The whole thing is Chris Pratt running down a volcano young. As a volcano erupting behind him turned a couple of pay fourteen dollars to go see that no first was terrible at that first read with a native is that it lately flopped an awful wide into it underscores what did not law. Did not know he didn't flop but a song over the reviews yeah those diverse views were not great but amid a ton of money doesn't matter if the reviews are good is long he's brave one point seven billion dollars which is why attitude Daytona which is why these guys in other guys need to stop buying these tickets these stupid movies didn't I when talker was adamant. Generally I you to. But what are you pro it. The noise I saw it on paper view all human value Idaho more money. You know 599. Per view askew going to analysts that we have into man in the washed. Oh good more separate your mind you like Paul Rudd but I'd just not them I don't tiger who stuff Arafat. And then we have the only new original movie as far as I can tell on this entire list. Skyscraper with Dwayne Johnson is the only one that brought us sequel prequel. Our reboots and I don't I don't actually have accomplished that skyscrapers not a reboot I so. I do let me tell you what via the pot of skyscrapers just we'll get you through this. Former FBI agent and amputee will Sawyer who lives in the tallest NC a skyscraper in Hong Kong with his family. The skyscraper itself known as the pearl houses several wars that folks is that society and despite the risks related by solar. Who was the buildings have security as well his bosses insist it's impenetrable so it's pretty much the Titanic. Scott got strippers. Troops toward the building comes under attack by terror icebergs. Forcing Sawyer to take action matters or further complicated when he finds himself framed for the attack in his family's trapped above the resulting fire. So and that's so its its original movie done. It's not a remake its Titanic. The sports team to meet emission Tyrell ghost protocol. Meets dial. I can't and it does have Dwayne the rock Johnson whom he's made so much money I got a statement like the rock is one of my favorite human beings east exit Ers are easy. They I won't pay to see it but when it comes out I'm like AT&T every day for like the next year. It's a true this is such AT&T group but it's executed it's gonna bounce back and forth between that in AMC's just below a one of them is gonna happen on total points all watch it once he gets our point I don't pay for. And then you have a mom Amir a sequel at all man is can we found out as we needed more of that. And then Mission Impossible ball which I will say I don't go to see the Mission Impossible movies but I do watch them when they come on TV Tom Cruise daughters it's it's it's Tom Cruise you know on motorcycles Indian jumping out of airplanes and okay will be entertaining there but. All these movies is the same now. It's a whole bunch of special rebates superhero movies and it's just branded differently and oh this one as dinosaurs in this one's got a skyscraper. It'll say you know what we complain about this. It's our fault that this is not my ball. It's our fault that they are creating these movies that they're not doing anything new and creative v.s Vigo and watched the same crap over and over and over and over again that's what makes money I mean these these moved into that doctors had flopped there wouldn't be making these movies but he didn't it is frosted these production companies like it's like shooting fish in a barrel as a slight these people some dom don't buy anything if agers got enough CGI crap in aisle. Really is the worst it's the worst and the worse. The biggest problem is with movies now the only two types of movies that are being made. Like the huge budget CGI movie yeah where these art house things that are in France I don't wanna read subtitles that time but that's it why can't I just find con air anymore. Mean god it was guys rate numbers make it for fifteen million dollars no special no special effects it was all about the people in that airplane just. Doing their thing depth you know why can't I have that anymore now why can't I have a few good men why can't I have movies that are just tape we're gonna make this for like thirty million bucks. And called today. You can't he can't find him anymore all the CGI effects of the meet budget. Boo doesn't classic studio has gone up. It's gone champ. Disappoint. So from there or take a break when we come back we're talking about your B&B setting its sights on surfing I don't know if this is going to be. Good thing for them but hang ten and would back a little bit. Very are strong here and I'm joined by Todd let's keep from the law firm of Cushing in goal and we're talking about something that sounds pretty basic. But how do you how should you all your real estate. Tadic your real estate is in a nominee realty trust. Is that going to be protected from the nursing home and also will it avoid probate when you die. GAAP most miss understood. Trust I think in the trust world it's not even a trust it and nom and the relationship nominee realizes trust I know but it's not. What I mean by that is. When you put your property into a nominee realty trust folks please go look at who the schedule beneficiaries are that you listed to separate piece of paper attached if it's the children and you gave way to the children doing but don't anymore you don't realize you gave it away because it takes effect immediately not your death which is the difference and many people think that that doesn't take effect till your death. More importantly if it's. If that was like my wife and I and the schedule beneficiaries as my wife and yeah well that we didn't wondering what's right back in my name and my wife's name so to your lighting and point it would even aboard so why is it being done so because a lot of times people might go to maybe real estate attorney and they think can help the trust and throat in a realty trust. We used realty trust it's just important that the schedule beneficiaries. Is another state planning trust revolt cobol or read error mural correct or not a person not your kids not yourself. Please look that up if you've got one of these you know it sounds pretty basic how ocean you'll your real estate but he gets complex and you get older call Cushing handle and and receive their brand new guide for the different types of real estate ownership the phone number is 866. 8485699. So if you are trivia question the last segment where is Mary international's headquarters located just Bethesda Maryland. That's where the 6500 hotel chain is based and who have the right answer my. First correct answer is nick from Auburn New Hampshire if you correct answers on this one. Eyes what a fifty dollar gift card to Dhabi is in Davos has five locations in the Boston area including their newest location in Braintree poster next special event at the obvious visit www. Obvious dot com. For menu information and reservations. It's. So. One of the things that's been kind of quietly bubbling below the surface as far as. Changes coming from a policy perspective from truck administration is. Trying to figure out where to go with regards to these fuel economy standards for auto makers and drug administration is looking at this saying look we want to try to be as aggressive as possible rolling back. The standards that the Obama administration put into place. But the auto maker direction saying look we don't wanna go to park is California has don't say the standards and if we deviate too far now we've got to make two different kinds of vehicles in different parts of the country. Yeah it's a weird it's a weird little situation that looks like it might come to have a big fight point between California and the federal government. But I don't see what effectively California wants to in state higher fuel efficiency standards than the federal government does which. That's the State's rights hey you really would have a very tough time arguing against this in any sort of national court. Don't you use it's pretty much a possible saying look we wanna go beyond what the feds are doing this just like you can do minimum wage and I couldn't believe it or heard of him of the states to be do that. Where this becomes a problem for the auto makers is the sheer size of California. Okay. It is. It's the biggest state in the country and it's not even particularly close not talking like way and wise but when you look at this from a population perspective. You've got 39 million people living in California. Okay. It's north of 10% of the US population California by itself is the fifth biggest economy in the world. It kind of has the size and scale to be able to dictate how these things work. And so that's what you've seniors historically you know a lot of these standards what's happened in California tends to go home. What you see become policy across the United States. Only route I can think the federal government takes here if they really really want to pushed the issue. When they initially raised the drinking age to 21. What they did was they said if you don't have a 21 year old drinking age. Ban we're gonna withhold federal funding for highways and hypothetically. You could say here hey California if you don't lower. The emission standards were not going to be federal highway funding. That idea that be a pretty big battle. I don't understand like how do you pitch that. Like if you guys don't make your standards worst we're gonna right away if they cast and it's it's a tough part of its kinda the opposite when that was made with those that hold you drunk driving thing. So I just go back to buy the latest this fact about California just the size of its economy to to put this in perspective. The economy of California. Is bigger than the economy of the UK. Of India. Of France of Brazil of Italy of Canada it is if you took Spain Mexico and just. In Uganda just because I wanna get a small country in the two all three of those countries. California's bigger than all of the bonds apology. You like it's it's almost as big it's it's only about 20% smaller than Germany. Really it's it's just you we don't realize how big the economy is in California and life and legacy of attacks and however one moment at a California and it weigh in the states too expensive and we can afford absence early which is all true but they're still don't actually though. So that there's actually meaning that optic and population in California two million people over the last seven years. Yeah tech toys had been since the last twelve to eighteen months. I believe there's been in net outflows of population in the last twelve months but could I don't quote for shore so in any case there's something that's gonna be brewing it's going to be. Gotta come to a head pretty soon just is the trump administration tries to. Come up with a its planned for or new figure out what they're gonna do with these corporate view all of us. Also coming to a head soon next week specifically. We got a deadline coming up for NAFTA renegotiation. Yet we do and I just don't see any progress been made if there was anything. Positive happening here it would be in the news in this just has not invade the specifically. The auto manufacturers are growing pretty concern here. Do you think we obviously there is the Pope I think that the drug administration had was for some kind of grand bargain any large scale renegotiation. You think maybe we just end up with some smaller pieces that modify a couple things here and there I would think so I would think you have to carve outs for at least the auto dealers thirty auto manufacturers to does that sound so much money into these facilities. Made with this administration just don't know one of the key things when you talk about auto specifically. The US wants 40% of the car in 45% of light truck to be produced with higher wage labor. In order to avoid tariffs in North America Mexico is proposing that only 20% of the car. Beef produced by workers paid somewhere around sixteen hour it would seem to me. The compromise became what we settled thirty or 35%. Yeah you know it makes cents. Again. I don't know what that does that I'd I'd be very agency that does the auto manufacturers it it doesn't push cost down to it that much via gives you look at the cost of production next it would significantly below. It's generally about a third of what it is in the United States though. It's it's something that bears watching. So. Yeah as we as folksy struck out estate planning and asset protection become a term on importance to maintaining a happy and successful lifestyle. Many Phillies go through this process think about transferring their home to their children to protected. So I know that the we we talk an awful lot about electric cars on the financial exchange the when when was talker on Wednesday that. We can weigh in depth on that front will yes and we next Harbin Electric one yet those are Paul question I believe what was it late 90% of our listeners said no. I think it was more equity was 94% of her listeners said no and I think Barry was in the so. Electric's the focus but they're still are some companies might that are trying to build these hydrogen powered these fuel cell cars in one rhythms. Maybe getting kind of close to building something that works the big problem is still going to be how you produce the hydrogen cheaply enough to be able to actually we have fuel these things. Ed there is that concern and then. The other concern is we have zero infrastructure setup in this country or to my knowledge in any other country to support filling up your car side no. I mean read at least made some big leaps and bounds towards being held to fill up with electricity. This is a whole new beast. At a no way I'd I don't see where this goes maybe I'm missing the ball on this one but. It seems like a much more complex arguments to fill up your current hydrogen right now it does with electricity while it. In and that's the thing is right now even if you don't have charging stations you've got powered which running throughout much the contract with hydrogen you sit there and Hussein okay. We we can do this through hydraulic system so forth but do you even that it's a process that's really expensive now Heatley. I just it's. It's something that from everything that I've read regarding fuel cell development and hydrogen as a fuel it may be more practical for a long haul trucks. Then for cars and so might be something where hey all of our trucks might end up being hydrogen powered in the future. But cars might not be because infrastructure so much more difficult to build that that at that scale you know. So I have questions about it you know what we'll see if it becomes anything but. I'm always open to wat to new ideas and it in hydrogen picked the beauty of the hydrogen powered car. In its simplest form. Is that the only thing that comes out of tailpipe. Little bit of water vapor that sit. There's there's no you know you have to dispose of these batteries or anything like that there's. It's just take were put out a little bit of water if that's that little cloud is true in the collector to. That the business model between the two main river simple as an aim of the company is trying to test this out as you don't actually own the car basically you. Have a a rental agreement for this company's basic date paid to fuel it they pay for insurance. It's more of a ride sharing type of idea Arabia that we go anyways with with these advice have you because soap back especially at this disease there's not going to be many locations to fill the things. Harder call beverages perspective I think that is that potentially. A problem. Or damage as well. And you know there are lot of people. Ground particular. Whiskey. That's. A cup warm. Jack and for all you know that's something that they have to contend with I think that to resupply and all of course the court why. Miller Lite in the US struggling also even though it's not necessarily. A case where I think all of your companies and portly. Kuroda. A fire up. Little company in your neck of the woods Boston Beer think being on that vehicle and at a assert. Yes I think we've heard of it they've they're doing quite well also on their public electric company or they're you know sales were up nearly 20%. So it's definitely not the key. People aren't you. Just Arctic but lyzard like. AB InBev obviously was you know wait a major merger. Between yet two of the biggest beer companies in the world Anheuser-Busch and InBev back and I believe it was 2008 when that merger happen somewhere in that ballpark. Is there any chance that they make another big deal at some point or they simply too big now to be able to do so because of regulatory were concerns. Yeah and I think there could be regulatory concerns I mean I think there's also. You know the issue that you know. You've got you know pot foundation in the business already him and I think AB InBev has chose in. Particularly would be out of question brand in the US to really do these smaller craft or acquisition I don't really think. If I can't imagine that today you idiot that would but apple go out why I. Nick that if they were gonna be more deals to be a long time. Buying these companies that are smaller. You know they're tech. Very good Paul thank you for the time we appreciate it and I have a great weekend you'd hear our call. Absolutely can't wait. Windows stuff another stellar was on Avian just about everything is this point and that your down the list it's it's just this huge list it's it's just about everything and remember. They that they bought SABMiller back in Augusta when he sixty when that deal closed you know it's like it's I think they're gonna have a really tough times. In front the trend. Undertow gay U by goose island in now it's a lot less popular than it was five years ago. It'll it'll induce. Who bought. Al's point. Yeah ballas points as well they were bought by. And innocent brands of immediate bigger early on his Molson Coors dying. Blue moon that was years ago that and that's just fallen off but I mean Agassi is still got there I'd. A general yeah following back. If that trend is just changing so fast in the beer market I don't know these big companies stand up here's a wild idea wise and blood make their own craft brew company. Or the year. Has people I think because people are gonna look at it and prove who like his Budweiser. Joba is so that are gonna put blood handing and around the something. Interesting by the way. Like traditional Budweiser beer they like original but have you like this the stuff that all out no one drinks is actually one of the more complex Beers to make. Bloggers in general our review we've really complex to do right and most people don't realize that they think that like traditional Budweiser some cheap beer there's just Ollie gets. It's actually really really difficult to make waters more so than a lot of other types of beer believe. My name war nobody else will fall roadblocks and everything you'd have make in these beauties is really challenging to me is Rogers yes my personal and to address the way my personal their presence at this point have either been. You know one of these re the small craft good IPA's or death they don't if they've got just that he has had gotten Bud Light verses. Goose island quite frankly am at a bar and Bono Budweiser Bud Light. Oh lord you know one of each of happiness if I'm going with one of the one of the cheap guys and don't Miller Lite. Always enjoyed it. I am a and I enough but I'm saying if I go with one knows yeah I mean if you're out at a bar in Boston something like that you don't wanna you don't drop. You know eleven box for cocktail yeah get a spotlight for you know eight books or for the Tucker still bitter about Vlad does it should be here any three meticulous.
